Everyone knows the above question and everyone knows the answer. Where do you live ? Have you asked yourself such question and what is the answer you give to yourself ? We are not talking about your house address here but something else you need to know about the place you live .
Today, I am going to share some information I read from a health book as follows :-
Something to think about.
So, you have a body
A place to live your life
A place your soul / spirit calls home
A vehicle that carries you through this lifetime on earth.
This body is a one time offer
Only one make and model was ever made of it
It is unique unto you
There are no replacement parts
You can’t trade it in for a newer model
It is the most important thing to your life
Without it, you are…?
It is vitally important to your very existence that you take the absolute best possible care of it.
So, what do you knw about this body of yours ?
About how it functions and operates ?
About what happens with the food you stuff into it every day ?
About how it copes with all the negative impacts you subject it to ?
What do you know about the proper daily maintenance of this vehicle you ride in life ?
What type of gas are you providing for it to run on ?
Premium, regular or sludge filled ?
How are you with the tune-ups, filters, keeping it clean ?
Who is the owner of this body ?
Whose name is on the ownership papers ?
Whos’s responsible for the maintenance and day to day care of it ?
What are YOU doing to ensure a “peppy” , smooth-running. life-long ride ?
With all these questions putting in front of us, we can now be honest to ourselves with our answers.
And now we realised the important thing in life is health, how do we revitalize, shield, cleanse and nourish our body the way we should so that we can be the very best body owner we can possibly be.
If we don’t care of the body, where will we live ?
Stay tuned for my next post where I will be sharing some information on different vitamins and the benefits they bring to our body.
Cheers

You’re right. We should take good care of our house, but I admit it. Occasionally, I eat a brownie. LOL I’m looking forward to reading your next post about vitamins and their benefits.

Yes we definately need to take care of our body (our house). If it’s not healthy then all other areas of life can also be a struggle.
Thanks Pearly!

The line about “the gas” I am fueling myself with is especially appropriate to me as I have begun a nutritional cleansing program and feel that I’m am finally using only High Octane, “green” fuel that rids my body of the toxins that keep me from sleeping well and robbing me of some energy.

Hi Pearly,
What a profound question - Where do you live? Like most others I’m sure, my first thought was the location of my home, but you gave the most important answer. We live in our bodies first before we can live anywhere else.
It is so sad that we mostly take our bodies for granted and don’t try to learn how to best take care of it. Like you wrote so well, our bodies need daily maintenance and the proper fuel. If we don’t take the time to learn about how our body operates, we can easily be causing damage without knowing it at all.
Thanks for the excellent reminder that our bodies, our homes, need much more care than we sometimes give it and we’ll ultimately pay the price. Looking forward to our next post!

Pearly,
Very nice post! I have always been grateful for my body and said I was thankful for my health. When I was diagnosed with MS, I started to recognize that I had really taken it for granted. Now I’m taking care of my body the way I should have been my entire life. I’m truly grateful for all that I have. This is a beautiful post. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Pearl,
It amazes me how many people would agree with this, but don’t take care of their bodies. Every week, I meet people who say they are health conscious, as long as it doesn’t involve them stepping outside of what Big Pharma or advertising dictates.
Great to see so many people here who are in a lignment. I eat my special chocolate every day, and after being very ill when I was young, I owe my good health 40 years alter to supplements, exercise and mindset!

Pearly, what a profound question you asked!
I have to admit, I also immediately thought of my house and then got a trifle uncomfortable when thinking about the less-than-optimum way I’ve been looking after my Real Home, this glorious body that I get to live in for my entire stay here on Planet Earth.
Time to start some upgrades and springcleaning, I think.
So glad to have met you and thank you for the new awarenesses.

Hi Pearly,
ReplyDeleteWhat a really nice post. You posed some really great questions that we all should be asking ourselves in order that we can live a fruitful, healthy life.
Thank you for sharing,
Beth :)
This story really really makes you think about life in general. Especially the fact that you say there is only one make and model and there aren't any replacement parts. I know that a lot of us do realize this but we really don't take in the consideration and the importance of what we are doing to our own bodies. Sometimes eating healthy can be very pricey unfortunately. But I feel that our own government prefers that we eat unhealthy since its geared towards people who don't have a whole lot of money. To have the finer things in life always costs an arm and a leg. And Im a health nut at heart and try to practice healthy living and eating. Thanks for sharing Pearly
